Japanese Cherry Blossom Nail Art

Hey, it's Asa here! I know I haven't posted in a while but here I am. :)
For the base of this design I used KlassicColor Nail Lacquer in Pastel Teal. the branches of the tree was created using a nail striper (Wild Beauty Nail Paint in # 2 Black), the white petals were created using Wet 'n' Wild's color icon nail color in French White Creme and the soft pink petals were made by using e.l.f.'s Nail Polish in Light Pink (#81003).

This nail art was actually inspired by the Arizona Green Tea can. Instead of creating cherry blossoms on ALL my fingers, I decided to twist things up and drew the kanji symbol for "cherry blossom" in black polish on my ring finger using this picture as my guide.

The kanji symbol took a bit longer than painting the cherry blossoms because I wanted it to be perfect.
As you can see in the picture, I have put a small dot of the light pink in the middle of the white petals. This design can also be created with a white base or even a clear one if you do not have a pastel teal polish. You can even make the petals shimmery to make it more fun. The branches don't have to be black but I decided to make them this way because I didn't have a brown striper. Cherry blossoms are all the rage in the world of nail art and I decided to give it a whirl by putting my own twist on it.

Sweet Girly Design

Hi! C.j. here and I'm finally posting our very first nail design post! As I mentioned in our previous post I used Wet n' Wild French White Créme and Tickled Pink for the base coat of this design.
I also used pale blue, pale pink, and white stripers (Nail Polish specifically for nail art that has a really thin brush) to create my design.
(Pink not pictured! I forgot sorry!! For the record it is a L.A, Colors Striper) From left: Kiss Nail Art White and L.A. Colors  Art Deco Sky Blue

Anyway here's a few pictures of the design:
I apologize for the blurriness, cameras are not my friend!

This was a very simple design and very cute actually. I feel it works best with light colors, but darker ones could work well too. On the thumb and index finger I have diagonal and horizontal stripes in alternating colors while on the pointer and pinky fingers I have a random smattering of polka dots in alternating colors as well. On the ring finger, I painted a small, delicate flower with a blue stem surrounded by pink and blue polka dots. The flower is fairly easy to create, especially if you happen to have a smaller thinner brush lying around. (I unfortunately did not.) It kind of resembles a butterfly but with five points (petals). The image I used to create the design is NOT mine but here's a link to it; http://i8.ebayimg.com/04/s/000/77/45/041a_2.JPG
This is a very girly and pretty design. It actually reminds me so much of cotton candy, probably because the Wet n' Wild pink and L.A. Colors blue compliment each other so well!!
So that's the end of our first Nail Design post!! Please send us links to any photos of designs you may have come up with! I hope this design inspires you to create some of your own beautiful nail art!
One last note; Asa and I would love if you could send us any requests for nail designs you might like to see! And any feedback about our posts is greatly appreciated; especially if you found anything lacking in them.
Thank you!!

Wet n' Wild Swatches

Hey everyone or anyone who's reading! Sorry for the delay in new posts, it's been kind of busy for us! Later today or early tomorrow expect a nail design post from me! (C.j.)
Anyway today we have some pictures of some Wet n' Wild swatches. Asa and I really like this brand, because of how smooth it goes on and how shiny the color is! (By the way we apologize for any messiness! We are only human afterall! :P)
The first few pics are Asa's nails and polishes she has:

From Left: Everybody Loves Redmond, Sunny Side Up, The Wonder Yellows, Sage in the City, Teal or No Teal

From Left: Saved by the Blue, Fuchsia Rama, How I Met Your Magenta, Wild Card/Invitation, Night Prowl
(This is Night Prowl)

Asa said"I love the brushes for the fast dry nail polishes. It lets me evenly cover my nail. Some of the colors were very sheer like The Wonder Yellows and Everybody Loves Redmond which needed 3-4 coats to become opaque. For $1.99 (Wet n Wild Fast Dry) and 99 cents (Wet n Wild Wild Shine), I was pleased with the products."
I love the names of these polishes so much!

Now it's time for my pictures. I only have two Wet n' Wild polishes right now but I look forward to buying more. I love the shine and color and how opaque it was from the start.
In case the text is too small, From left: Tickled Pink (402) and French White Créme (449C)
These two colors are perfect for classic manicures or for a sweet and cute design. ( These are actually the two polishes I used for the nail design I hope to post later this evening!) Anyway these polishes were only .99 cents and I was extremely satisfied with them. They are from the Wet n' Wild Shine line, which also boasts a number of other fine colors.
We hope you continue to read our posts! Thank you!!

Introducing Asa and Cj!!!

As we wrote in the bio, we are two best friends who are totally obsessed with nail polish- among other things anyway. We both love reading, and our favorite color is purple. Our fave pastimes include: reading magazines together and critiquing celebrities, watching anime and reading manga (WE ARE SHAMELESS FANGIRLS), and gossiping with each other about the most random things. (We are Not those bullies who enjoy making people feel bad about themselves!!)
Some of our fave t.v. shows include:
Friends
Glee
The Big Bang Theory
Dr. Who
Merlin
Avatar The Last Airbender
We love anime and one of our favorites is Ouran High School Host Club!
Some books we enjoy:
Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
The Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley
The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins
The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare
The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
Children of the River by Linda Crew

...And countless others!
The reason we created this blog was both to use it as a creative outlet to showcases easy nail designs we have worked on, which include both original and replicated designs. Occasionally we may just choose to rant about something random, just to do it. (We do attend a rather annoyingly difficult school, so can we really be blamed when we just want to launch into a crazy tirade?)
We are committed to trying our best to make this into a blog worth reading. We want to post efficient nail tutorials and post random material that will leave you chuckling to yourself.
Please, give us a chance to entertain you!!
Asa and Cj

Told you we were random ;D
