Bunny Nails for Spring!

Hola everyone, Asa here!

This time I have another Spring Nail Art for you. Bunny Nails!
I love bunnies because they are so cute and are perfect for Spring time.
I had a lot of fun doing this nail design and actually these aren't m own design, they are cutepolish's
I used a similar technique as her except I changed up my colors and did not  use a dotting tool (because I don't own any)

Here are some pictures:

All pictures are in natural light.

Here is the stuff I used:

Spring Leopard Nails

Hola! Asa here guys.
I have a spring-y leopard nails for y'all. I actually did these December 29, 2011 according to the details of these pictures. I had gotten some new nail polishes from CJ for X-mas and I decided to use the pink one.
This is without flash

With le flash
With flash
I'm not sure what the base color is called (as it has no name) but the blue dots I did are with Wet n Wild's Rain Check. I then used my Art Deco nail brush in black to create the circles around the dots.
I think this is a really interesting and soft (and spring-y) twist on the classic leopard nails which are  usually golden or brown.
This can also be a good Easter-ish manicure if you want to diverge from the candies, bunnies, and flowers.
Although I do love me some candy!

Kiss Nail Dress "Body Suit" Review

Here's another review of a product I received in my love voxbox complimentary of the amazing program Influenster. The Kiss Nail Dress was the product I was looking most forward to try. Previously in my Holiday Voxbox, I had received ImPRESS press on manicure (which I really loved).

I received my nails in the print "Body Suit." It's a bit of a crazy leopard print design.

I'm going to be honest. It was a pain to file down the excess sticker off the nail. I became increasing frustrated and eventually just didn't care anymore. People with larger nail beds should know that some of the stickers will not completely cover the nail. The "stickers" also peel at the edges and the tips, and because I was worried about yanking them off accidentally, I used a top coat over the stickers. This did not help much. I will say, that although they peel at the edges, they will definitely stay on if they are pressed occasionally. The removal was easy and I only needed a few dabs of acetone to get rid of the adhesive.
This is a good product, especially for a weekend out with a quick no mess application.
Here's some official information:

Love Voxbox 2012: Venus & Olay Razor Review

Hey everyone! So I was lucky enough to receive a second box of free goodies from the amazing progam Influenster! This box was called the Love Voxbox and in it were these amazing products:
Stash Herbal Tea, Ghiradelli Chocolate, Truvia Sweetener, Kiss Nail Dress Nail Art, Venus + Olay Razor

I really enjoyed testing these products and am looking forward to purchasing many of them in the future.
Anyway,  on to the review!

I was really excited to try out the new Venus+ Olay razor. I actually had just received a free sample of the new Schick Hydro razor in the mail a week earlier and was looking forward to comparing them. Here's some of the official information for the Venus + Olay razor:

Venus & Olay Razor

For the first time ever, Gillette Venus, a global leader in female shaving, and Olay, a global leader in skincare, are coming together to deliver a gold standard in shaving with the new Gillette Venus & Olay razor. Venus’ best shaving technology works with Olay Moisture Bars, offering women best-of-both-worlds shaving and skin expertise. Olay Moisture Bars help lock-in moisture to your skin for less dryness, and with every smoothing stroke, Venus’ five blades shave you close.

Product Details
  • Venus’ five-bladed razors shave you close and adjust to women’s curves for a smooth and comfortable shave, even over tricky shaving areas like knees and ankles.
  • Olay Moisture Bars contain skin-enhancing elements found in Olay products: Petrolatum helps lock in skin’s moisture for less dryness and Glycerin helps offer that goddess glow! Just wet the razor to release a light lather – no separate shave cream required.
  • As with most Venus razors, new Venus & Olay also features a rounded, pivoting head designed for women’s curves, and a soft-grip ergonomic handle for confident control, even in wet and soapy environment

Where to Buy
A refillable Venus & Olay with one replacement cartridge sells for approximately $8.99-$10.99. Packages of three replacement cartridges are available for about $14.99 - $19.49.
Venus & Olay will be available starting March 15, 2012 at food, drug, convenience and mass merchandise stores throughout the United States.

While I do like the Venus + Olay razor and its moisture bars, it's not a miracle razor. My legs did not feel any more moisturized than they would with a regular razor. In fact, I found that the moisture bars seemed to only create a slimy substance that made it harder to shave. This is a good product, but I would recommend to buy it and its cartridges when they are on sale.

Anti-Valentine's Day Nail Art

Hola. Asa here again! I have made an anti-Valnetine's Day design. Ever suffered from a broken heart? This might be the design for you.

My base color is How I met Your magenta from WnW's fastdry collection. I used 2 coats but I still saw VNL (visible nail line).
Then I used a black crackle to create hearts.
I chose my ring finger as an accent finger and put studs on the tip. I used a top coat (I will post a review later this week of the top coat) to seal everything.

Valentine's Day Nail Designs

Hey guys! Asa here. I know I haven't posted in a WHILE but to make up for it I have a couple of nail designs and virtual cookies.

Here is the first one:
For this design, I used French Creme by WnW and some other WnW polishes. In order to make this design first put on a base coat of your choice. Then paint your nails with a white polish. Take a dotting tool or bobby pin and dip it in the polish of your choice and create a 'v' shape on the nail. It will create a heart shape. Add a top coat of your choice and enjoy your cute nails!

I just rotated this picture so it looks a bit weird.

This design was also pretty simple. I mixed together a blue and white to make a sky blue color I wanted. You don't have to do this if you already have a sky blue polish. After the polish dries, use a dotting tool or a bobby pin to create clouds with a white polish. After the clouds dry, take a bobby pin or dotting tool to create hearts using a pink polish.

The design on my middle finger is actually from this awesome video by indigonova: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgkUCdEzhCY
Please ignore the yellow polish on the side of my finger.

For this next design, I used a mix of a nude color, white shimmery polish, and a light pink shimmer I had. After the base color dried I used a blue polish to cover half my nail diagonally and then used a glittery striper to create a line between the pink and the blue. I used a bobby pink to place two pink dots and then used a pink striper to create 'c's around the dot. I also added green leaves around the roses.
Here is another picture:

Have a fun and romantic Valentine's Day! I know I'll spend it with my one true love: food.
I leave you all with this super adorbs Doctor Who gif.
